Storm Damage Repair

After a storm the damage that matters is often the damage you cannot see from the ground. Lifted shingles that did not blow off still let water in, and hail bruising shows up as leaks a year later.

What we look for

Hail leaves round bruises where the granules are knocked off and the mat underneath is exposed. Wind lifts shingles and breaks the seal strip even when nothing is visibly missing.

We also check the soft metals, gutters, vents and flashing, because those often show hail impact more clearly than the shingles do.

Documentation your adjuster can use

We photograph everything and put it in a format that supports a claim. Vague damage reports get claims denied.

We help homeowners through the adjuster process regularly. We are not public adjusters and we do not negotiate on your behalf, but we make sure the damage is properly documented and we will be there to walk the roof with your adjuster.

Move quickly, but not in a panic

Most policies require you to report damage within a set window, so get the roof looked at soon after a storm.

Be wary of crews that show up door to door the day after a storm from three counties away. Ask where their shop is and how long they have been there.

Questions we get asked

How soon should I have my roof checked after a storm?

Within a couple of weeks. Policies have reporting deadlines, and damage that sits gets worse and harder to attribute to the storm.

Will filing a claim raise my premium?

That depends on your carrier and your history, and we cannot answer it for you. What we can do is tell you honestly whether the damage is worth claiming before you file.

How much does an estimate cost?

Nothing. Justin comes out, gets on the roof, takes photos and writes the bid. Often the same day you call. There is no obligation and no follow-up sales pressure.

What warranty comes with the work?

You get 2 or 5 years on our workmanship depending on the package, plus a 15 or 20 year IKO Iron Clad warranty on the materials. At year 20 an Iron Clad claim still pays 100 percent of what the materials are worth. Coverage transfers to the new owner if you sell.

We live in Forward Township, Butler County and had C. Kalcevic do a full exterior facelift to our home. We had them do the whole package: roof, siding, soffit, fascia and gutters. We could not be more pleased with the work!
