Shingled commercial buildings
Commercial and institutional buildings with pitched roofs are our strongest suit. Churches, offices, small apartment buildings, outbuildings and mixed-use properties all fall into this, and over thirty years that has included some large and complicated roofs, historic buildings among them.
Scale changes the logistics, not the method. Full tear-off, ice and water shield, new flashing at every penetration, proper ventilation.
TPO flat roofing
For flat and low-slope roofs we install TPO single-ply membrane. The seams are heat-welded rather than glued, which is what keeps a flat roof dry, and the white surface reflects heat instead of holding it. It is the standard for this kind of building and it is what we recommend.
Flat roofs fail at the details: penetrations, parapet walls, drains and terminations. That is where the work actually is, and it is the same discipline that makes a pitched roof last.
