IKO Roof Pro Select certified

Certification is not a logo in a footer. It determines what warranty you can be given and whether your roof was installed to the standard that keeps it valid.

What the Select tier gives you

IKO runs a tiered certification program for roofing contractors. We hold Roof Pro Select, the upper tier, which requires meeting their installation standards and keeping them.

The practical benefit is the Iron Clad warranty. Under it, a claim in year 20 still pays 100 percent of what the materials are worth, with no depreciation taken off. Most material warranties reduce what they pay every year you own the roof, so by year 15 a "lifetime" warranty can be worth very little.

There are not many of us

Including us there are roughly nine IKO-certified contractors in the 15010 area, and a similar number across the North Hills. For a certification that changes what warranty you can actually be offered, that is a short list.

Licensed and insured in Pennsylvania

We carry Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor registration #199428 and full insurance. Pennsylvania requires contractors to display their HIC number on advertising, so if you cannot find one on a competitor's website or truck, that tells you something.

The warranty you end up with

  • 2 or 5 years workmanship warranty from us, depending on the package you choose.
  • 15 or 20 years IKO Iron Clad warranty on materials, also depending on package.
  • Limited lifetime coverage, and all of it transfers to the new owner if you sell the house.

Questions we get asked

What is IKO Roof Pro Select?

It is the upper tier of IKO’s contractor certification program. Contractors have to meet IKO’s installation standards and maintain them to keep the designation. It is what allows us to offer the Iron Clad warranty on materials.

Why does a manufacturer certification matter to me?

Two reasons. It means the crew installing your roof is doing it to the specification that keeps your material warranty valid, and it unlocks warranty coverage that uncertified contractors cannot offer at all.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. We carry Pennsylvania Home Improvement Contractor registration #199428 and full insurance. Ask any contractor for both before you sign anything.
