Installation and replacement

We install new skylights and replace failed units. A skylight older than the roof under it should be replaced while the roof is off, not left to be the one old component in a new system.

Every unit gets the manufacturer flashing kit made for that model and that roof pitch. Sealant is not flashing.

If yours is leaking

Most skylight leaks trace to the head flashing or to the joint where the curb meets the deck. Condensation is also frequently mistaken for a leak, and the fix for that is ventilation rather than roofing.

Should I replace my skylight when I replace the roof?

If it is more than about ten years old, yes. Access is already there, the flashing is being redone anyway, and doing it later means disturbing a new roof.

How much does an estimate cost?
